About Ms. Olson
I have been an education professional for over 20 years with comprehensive experience leading, teaching, and mentoring students of diverse backgrounds. Using the Common Core standards, I prepare my students to be successful in college and in the workforce. The climate of my classroom fosters clear communication, teamwork, hands-on learning, and problem solving skills. In the classroom I embrace not only the role of the educator, but also the role of a coach. I am passionate about making sure each child has an equal chance at success and I create a classroom where learning is the goal and the reward. I am known for getting students motivated by tying songs to themes, tracking academic growth, increasing benchmark scores, and using the latest educational technology to enhance learning in the classroom. I love our school and appreciate the role I have in providing a world-class education to the students of El Cajon.
